The kitchen has a gas stove & fully equipped w/ kitchen items. The house can sleep up to 10 guests. The property is located in a very nice, yet private neighborhood. It is about 30 minutes from the Carlsbad Caverns. The property is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath home. Beautiful hardwood floors through-out with carpet in the bedrooms. Central forced air & furnace. The kitchen is fully equipped with all kitchen items you may need. Each bedroom is equipped with ceiling fans, clean bedding, and charging stations for your electronic devices. The living room has a flat screen TV with cable. First bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. Closest international airport is about 2 1/2 hours from Carlsbad. You can drive 5-7 minutes either direction to get to the main streets in Carlsbad. We have a new water park that is about 10 minutes from the home. The Pecos river runs through town and you can rent paddle boards, boats, and other water sports. Carlsbad caverns are just 30 minutes away. ? You do not have to keep up with keys to the house. Things people love about the Cabbage: - Central location 2 blocks from City center & close to the Caverns -Clean and unique New Mexico style, hand picked decor with a homey feel. -Private space all your own ( whole house and yard for the cost of a basic hotel room) and 3 small but private bedrooms to separate the kids or unruly coworkers.. -All the amenities of home in a tiny little package- kitchen, washer and dryer, Netflix, barbecue grill, comfy couch, fluffy pillows, cozy beds, WiFi, etc - Hopefully it's not vain to say we try to be attentive, friendly hosts and our guests mostly like us. -Generally a better price than other full house listings due to it's small size, exterior condition, and location. Reasons it might not be for you (and no shame in that!): -working class neighborhood with many small, cheap, and/or ugly houses. -Exterior still has cosmetic repairs to be done. -Old house has uneven floors and weird ceiling heights -Small space (mostly only a problem when you try to pass people in the hallway to the bathroom) The Cabbage is probably the smallest 3 bedroom in town,- only 640 sq ft- but it lives large! It is an older house in a quiet hard working neighborhood and a with some quirks (wonky floors, low ceiling heights, and leaning porch, or example). The setup is perfect for those who want to have private rooms for the members of their group. The house is arranged to accommodate 4 comfortably, plus a pack n play for a spare kiddo. Each of the 3 bedrooms neatly fits a bed, a desk and a closet. The home is heated and cooled by window mounted air conditioner units, and we also offer space heaters/fans in each bedroom. The exterior has a nice deck and a gas grill and a (super dead) garden, but is a work in progress, so this is the wrong house for you if you will be bothered by seeing sad plants, a dirt lot, unpainted stucco, or parts of the old wooden beams peeking out from under the brand new aluminum roof, or our neighbors ugly house/cars ( no offense to them, they are otherwise good neighbors). Kitchen: Complete kitchen with adequate storage, a full size fridge, and kitchen gadgets and accessories for preparing your own meals. Dine at the bartop with seating for 4 or enjoy al fresco dining on the adjacent outdoor deck. Bathroom: Compact but complete bathroom with a combo tub/ shower, toilet and single vanity. Toiletries provided. Living Room: Comfy sofa to watch Netflix on the flat screen TV with roku. Or unplug and play wii, board games or borrow a book. Bedrooms: Just enough space for sleeping or working. They are tiny but they get the job done, and you should be out exploring anyway! One hour to town (Carlsbad). From Carlsbad 30 minutes to caverns. From apartment there is a road that cuts across without driving all the way back into town, so it cuts down travel time. We built this casita three (3) years ago after a stay in a hotel, we wanted a small, cozy and private home. We are 15 mins from downtown Roswell, 38 mins from Bottomless Lake State Park, 20 mins from Bitter Lake National Wildlife and only an hour and a half from Ruidoso, NM. Roswell offers the UFO Museum, Roswell International Air Center which is 20 mins away for a convenient flight in and out of Roswell. Roswell also offers Spring River Zoo, Roswell Museum and Art Center and New Mexico Military Institute golf course, Robert H. Goddard Planetarium and LOTS OF Alien shops.
